(A continuation of People in the Curtains) Aaron continues to see visions in his surroundings, but in the past two years, he’s learned to ignore them. Then Aaron meets Kasha, a beautiful sixteen year old. Immediately, he realizes she’s just another vision, another enigma to be dealt with. She approaches Aaron with a proposition.
This new vision Aaron calls Kasha, needs to find her killer. But she wants something even more... she wants to live again. She wants her Life Returned.
Excerpt
Kasha’s eyebrows knitted together. “Humm. You were up that far, yet you still made it back.” She nodded slowly. “I’m thinking your abilities have something to do with your near death experience. Maybe a door between our two worlds wasn’t shut tight enough when you left. We’d be more aware of those cracks than you would be, simply because it’s so dark up there. I suppose simple curiosity would cause a few of the spirits to glance through that crack now and then.”
Aaron straightened. “So… spirits are just peeking through that crack to see what’s going on down here?”
Kasha shrugged. “Maybe.”
“Then why do I see you so plainly? And how can we talk together?” Aaron tipped his head, hanging on every word the spirit muttered.
Kasha shook her head and smiled. “I don’t know. I’m just making this up as I go.”
Aaron pulled back, as his mouth fell open. It slowly turned into a wide grin and he snickered. “You’re weird.”
