Great starter for honest conversation with your kids, and yourself
Stories are beautiful. Stories are magical. Sometimes long, sometimes not as long. However, they all have one thing in common; the good always overcomes the bad, and truth always comes out in the light of the day. But, this extremely short story does not have any of it. It is actually a story that makes you stop and take a deep look around yourself. So many sad and lonely people, and so much anger around us. While our surroundings are made like haven where we shouldn't lose our smile from our faces and our hearts should dance from happiness, we are completely blind and disconnected. Not only with the nature, but disconnected with each other as well. The writer has managed to paint the truth in few pages, and after reading it, the kids (and grown-ups as well), will come up with million guestions. I hope we will see Salomi in a new follow up book, where he will continue painting the reality and teach us a valuable lessons.

Beautiful Book, I Recommend It
I read this book with great pleasure. Even though it’s aimed toward children its eternal messages can relate to anyone. Seemingly a small picture book, it conveys deep thoughts about the alarming state of “disconnect” on our beautiful planet: disconnect from nature, disconnect from each other, and disconnect from our own selves. Seeing our planet through the eyes of the magical being Salomi from another, the Happy Planet, reminds us of the beauty that surrounds us and the beauty we carry within. This book pleads us to awaken our minds and senses to receive the gifts this planet shares with us. It pleads us to open our hearts in order to live in harmony and union. These powerful messages are best taught and received from an early age. Let’s share them with our children so we can make this world a better place for everyone. I will share this book with my students and the children in my life. Beautiful illustrations by an 11 year old kid! Can’t wait for Book Two!

Amazing book for children (and not only children) on the Earth’s beauty
Sometimes we need a new perspective so we can treasure and love the things we have and not take them for granted. This book does exactly that. Giving an “otherworldly” perspective on the beauty that our Earth possesses and on our indifference towards that beauty. This book will offer a new appreciation for the things around us - things that should make us happy and yet they don’t. It is especially good for children who are often bombarded with so many things that they can’t enjoy simple things like, for example, the beauty of the winter, of being able to go out and play in the snow. This book can help children - and not only children but the adults also - to regain some of the most beautiful things we have - the wonder of the children.
