Emma Marie Muphy hid behind a mask and kept the secret of a daughter what was concieved from a rape by a prominent artist, Leonard Strecker. Leonard's wife couldn't have children, so he wanted the baby. Emma gave the baby to him. but, after 20 years, Christy, her daughter, finds Emma. Now Emma is forced to face her past and Christy has to find a way to forgive her biological mother for giving her to a man who abused her. Only God's intervention can save Emma's marriage, help christy to find forgiveness and reunite Christy and her husband.

"Emma, someone wants you on the telephone."
"Who is it?"
"I don't know, a woman - says it's important."
"Oh, okay. Walter, don't go anyplace. I'll be right back." She kissed him on the cheek, walked into the living room, picked up the phone and said, "Hello."
"Is this the Emma Trask, who used to live in St. Louis?"
"Emma's heart jumped, and she switched the phone to the other ear. "Who is this? I haven't gone by that name for twenty years."
"I know," the voice said. The girl's voice soundy shaky. "Congratulations on your wedding."
"Who is this?" Emma insisted.
"Someone you haven't seen for twenty years, someone you thought you'd never see again."
"Quit playing games. Who are you?"
"Your daughter, Christy, the baby you gave away, remember?"
Emma dropped the phone. Her legs felt wobbly. The room spun. She felt herself falling, then the room went black.
