Reading about forgiveness is one thing, but to have “directions and steps” is an open invitation to do something more than just studies the subject. Ms. Freund is authentic... she invites us to walk the path of forgiveness so that we can enjoy a life of joy and peace. She says for some, the process can painful but the journey and healing are so worth the effort. The author shares her personal forgiveness stories which helped me realize that everyone has similar struggles with naming the hurt and figuring out how to go about forgiving with a possible renewal of relationships. She is clear that forgiveness is a choice not a feeling. Additional she caution the reader not to place themselves in harm’s way in the forgiveness process and offers suggestions to those who need to forgive situation like domestic violence or sexual/physical abuse. A must read. Nice job Ms. Freund!
