Mr. Straticus nodded politely and smiled.
Robby and Mr. Reynolds turned and walked towards the exit of the exhibit room, their footsteps echoing in the large, open space. The heavy-set Greek turned his attention back to the sphinx, a strange smile on his face. As they were walking out, Robby turned his head over his left shoulder to look once more at the sphinx. It still loomed large, dark and ominous in the center of the room, towering over Mr. Straticus in his white suit. It wasn't difficult for Robby to get the impression that the sphinx was calmly thinking about devouring Mr. Straticus, and that the Greek, with his short but powerful looking legs spread apart and firmly planted on the ground; his arms crossed in front of his chest, was challenging the sphinx to do just that.
