No One Can Read Just One
"Moon Ridge," Book Three of the Jordon Journals, reads like a movie script, with its strong male and female characters, snappy dialogue, and fast-paced action. Perhaps what struck me the most was Mr. Bullard's knack for making the setting come alive through visually rich description. He kept me guessing why this or that happened and what was going to happen next, right up until the end. Just when I thought I was about to get everything figured out, a plot twist completely surprised me. From the beginning, with the kidnapping of former astronaut Mitch Jordon of the American Space Technical Research Organization, it's clear that this is no ordinary tale of prospecting for treasure in an abandoned military reservation. Anyone who enjoys mystery, governmental cover-ups, space technology, and history with a hint of myth and the supernatural will find this book to be refreshingly different. I'll be looking forward to the sequel. Derek Bullard's novels are like Lay's potato chips: No one can read just one.
