MAKING CHANGE
SYNOPSIS
Jade had finally had enough of JB’s lazy, immature, broke, pretty-boy ass. And after six years of marriage, she decided to call it quits. She was divorced, free and ready to make a better life for her and her two children. As a nursing student with less than a year left before she became an RN, she was definitely on the right path and that path didn’t include JB.
JB loved Jade and their kids more than life but when he got married at 18, he was not ready to be the man that Jade needed him to be and as years passed nothing really changed. Even though he was heartbroken when Jade divorced him, he was not all that surprised. Jade was everything that a man could ever want; beautiful, intelligent and dedicated to her family. JB lost a good girl and he knew it. To keep herself from becoming sexually frustrated, Jade had an arrangement with JB for sex on a bi-monthly basis for as long as she was single. JB was more than happy to oblige and Jade had to admit that when it came to sex, this was one area where JB definitely got it right.
Crystal and Jade had been best friends since 7th grade and were like sisters. They were both drop dead gorgeous but their personalities were very different. Jade was very laid back and cautious while Crystal was very daring and spontaneous. Crystal felt like a life without excitement was no life at all. This is why she quickly fell in love with and married Rock, one of Cleveland’s biggest drug dealers. Crystal always wanted the best for Jade and felt as though she could do a lot better than JB, so when Rock told her that his dude Money was interested in Jade, she was more than willing to help Rock try to hook them up. Money was everything that a woman could want; sexy, smart, and paid. The only problem was that Money was a hustler like Rock and Crystal knew that Jade was not at all into drug dealers and that she would want no parts of that kind of lifestyle for her or her children.
It took some serious manipulation, but Crystal was finally able to get Jade and Money together in an intimate setting. After a rocky start, the encounter eventually paid off. Jade reluctantly let down her guard and gave Money a chance, and she was pleasantly surprised by what she found. There was much more to him than the stereotypes and preconceived notions that she had placed between them as a shield. There was something deeper, a profound connection in which she had not expected. Money didn’t need as much convincing; he was captivated by Jade’s beauty and intrigued by her conversation. Jade was like no other woman that he had ever met and he couldn’t get enough of her, and this was the start of their emotional journey. Can their love survive the obstacles of street life?
