Nsia goes through bitter experience at her childhood.She becomes pregnant and upon giving birth to a baby boy Rumisha, she abandons her and dissapear to the city.She tries to run away from humiliation and those who humiliated her.From the day she got raped she considered herself no longer existing. She runs into the hands of women who used her to get money by exchanging her body with men's money.She gives her body to men and at the sametime wonders what makes married men run to her? what is love?.
While in the city, Nsia gives birth to another child, a daughter called Nsia who lives to see all the hardships her mother goes through and she become witness of what she goes through till she dies.Lastly, Siyana goes to the village her mother was born to reunite with her brother she had never met.
Its a sad story told in flashback narrative mode which will make one cry,sympathize but at the end think twice.
