There comes a time when a young man has to step up to the plate and choose sides. Now was Rajii’s time. He was given an ultimatum...you either get down or lay down.
Rajii sat in his RX7 staring at the 357’s weeks earnings. Get down or lay down. Shit! It’s time to get down. A niggahs gotta eat. He stuffed the duffle bag under the seat and headed to the North End to meet his new boss.
Rajii was a young head looking to step up his game and his new boss’s team had what it took to rein supreme. Not only did his new boss have the Terrace on lock but he was expanding, taking little crews in the west and south end as well as Marina Village and Marina Apartment (Local Housing Projects) making them a part of his team. He was promised a territory to where he would get a 10gs weekly salary. Rajii knew it was his time to shine. When he was down with Chase all he got was a few G’s. See Chase...you should've gave me that opportunity to be your right hand man. I told you I was ready.
Rajii pulled into the 1st parking lot in what use to be known to him as enemy territory...The Terrace, a low income housing community. Rajii looked at his watch. He was on time but where was his connect? Where is Blizz? He was suppose to be here. Rajii just didn’t feel safe waiting there. Too many muthah fuckahs out this piece. I don’t see how they eat. Rajii pulled Nina from his waist and laid ol’ girl in his lap. Feeling at ease he popped in his favorite CD to keep him alert. Gimme the loot...gimme the loot! Rajii smiled Biggie was the man. He told stories of Rajii’s young life. Just then a tap at the window startled Rajii and a glock was staring down his throat. Yo son you snooze you loose! Blizz laughed as he put his metal away. That shit aint funny man, you was about to catch fire in dat ass! Rajii removed his hands from over Nina. I never sleep. Rajii grabbed the duffle bag that held 357’s money from under his seat and handed it over to Blizz minus 30%. Rajii nodded and pulled off. No turning back now.

Chase Reigns
With no guidance from his drug addicted parents and not sure of the whereabouts of his twin brother, Chase's street career began as a runner for the Colombians, and at the age of 13 he became a wanted man.
After a drug pick up gone wrong, Chase goes on the run where he meets his dad's old friend Cutty who convinces him to relocate to Connecticut.
Settling in his new environment and having Cutty as a friend/advisor, Chase begins making moves and soon he is the head man in charge of his own crew called 357.
Falling in love with his girlfriend Phoenix and realizing that their feelings were mutual, made Chase feel pretty comfortable in his new life.
But that would soon change as a misunderstanding not addressed leaves Phoenix and Chase at odds, and starts a cat and mouse pursuit that leads to an unexpected showdown!
At the beginning there were a few inconsistencies that had me little confused where the story says Chase's father was "keeping tabs" on him and knew what moves he was making.
Everyone saw the resemblance between the brothers immediately, so it threw me that Phoenix wasn't even suspicious about Caine; but yet she was quick to jump to conclusions about Chase and Vina! I guess I should chalk it up to Phoenix being traumatized...but that was a little far fetched for me.
Not much information on Caine to make me care about him one way or another, I felt his character should have been more developed.
Along with some editing issues, the page headings of the author's name and the title of the book kept showing up in odd places throughout my Kindle version of this book.
For me, as I read this novel it got better and better. The story IS a page-turner! Ms. Bradshaw is one of the few authors whose books I've read that actually spelled and used the Jamaican patois in the correct way.
The whole event that went down with Vina was perfectly described, I felt like I was actually there...glad I wasn't though, (those who've read this book know what I'm referring to!). I loved the friendship between Phoenix and Cahree and how it tied into Chase's drama, looking forward to reading part two!

Eyes on the Pryze
I just had to tell you after a VERY LONG wait I finally read your book for the first time yesterday and finished it today..... This is the first book I ever read non-stop and finished in two days!!!! Normally I choose not to read but this book changed that, and I think I just found my new favorite author.... But I'm mad how the book ended and I REALLY CAN'T WAIT for the second one!!! Congratulations and good luck on everything and I hope you keep publishing.
