Lucy Page flies into the Yemen, ready to risk everything to save her brother, who is being held hostage by terrorists. She is met at the airrt by handsome Conor Kendall. the enigmatic leader of the rescuse attempt, and together they set out into the desert on their perilous mission.
Lucy's instincts tell her to trust Conor completely, but her sensible side warns her that he is not the man he appears to be and that putting her life in his hands might be the most dangerous thing she has ever done.

She turned and leaning back awkwardly, tweaked off the corner of the tarpaulin. Underneath she could see the maps and further back the hard pewter glint of metal. She pulled out the maps and covered the guns over. She felt shocked. Pistols she had expected, but not a machine gun. At least, that was what it looked like. And she was sure he had meant her to see. 'We're carrying weapons,' she said in a matter-of-fact manner.
He glanced at her. 'Are you surprised?'
She shook her head. 'And your pistol's there as well. I salvaged it from the chopper.'
'Thank you.'Somehow, she couldn't ask him about the machine gun. Maybe there was a rocket launcher there as well. She'd never seen one and didn't even know if it would fit into the back of a jeep. She shuddered involuntarily. 'Hopefully I won't have to use it.'
'Hopefully,' he echoed and added, 'and the Ingram is our insurance.' She looked blank and he said,' The machine gun. M10.

Sizzling suspense in the desert!

Another great story from Helen McCabe. I was kept on the edge of my seat enjoying the sizzling chemistry mixed with suspense. Well worth a read!
