Kayla sat quietly for a moment before she blurted out her question "Grandma, why didn't God make me a bird?"
Grandma Annie smiled and in her soft voice she answered Kayla's question. "The Bible says that God made you in his image, so why would you want to be something else? Do you think that God made a mistake when he made you? Kayla sat quietly listening to her grandma speak. The breeze that had been making the floweres sway in Grandma Annie's garden suddenly stopped. Kayla imagined that God had quieted the wind so that she knew he was listening.
"No grandma, I don't think that God made a mistake. I just sometimes wonder if I were a bird, would my life be happier.".....Grandma Annie laced her fingers together and placed them in her lap. She smiled at the sky, and when she looked back at Kayla there was love and understanding in her eyes. "My little chick-a-dee, do you know how special you are?
