Lily walked into Miranda’s bookstore with a smile on her face.
“How’s it going girl?” She patted little Cheyenne on the head as she made her way to the counter for a much needed cup of coffee.
“Mornin’ Aunt Lil?” Cheyenne skipped through the store.
“Hey, hun.” Miranda looked up from the cash register.
Lily’s daily routine started out just as any other writer. And she always ended up at the counter of Java Dreams for one of Miranda’s fresh baked muffins and a hot cup of coffee. Pineville, Tennessee was now Lily’s home since Grammy Anne passed away. It had always been a nice retreat for Lily from her life back in Los Angeles. Now, after the end of her marriage to Brad, nothing could keep her from making Pineville, Tennessee her permanent retreat.
“Got anything new today, Randa?” She plundered through the boxes of books stacked behind the counter.
“I’d think the usual. People these days read the same thing over and over again,” Miranda continued to count the morning money. “When are we gonna get a copy of your book, dear?”
Lily waved her hands in the air, “Good things come to those who wait.” She walked toward the door. “Thanks for the morning fuel now off to create that bestseller.”
