Life has a way of filling us with despair but this is a book that is being written with a purpose to spread hope so that people will be empowered in their personal spiritual walk.

“Finding Hope”
"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:14
I was driving to the truck stop on a cold December Sunday morning. It was just after Christmas and no one had come to a meeting for three weeks. I was driving and praying for a direction of the ministry. I was feeling discouraged and was not sure why I was going out there week after week. My wife and I sat at the truck stop for a few hours. I played my guitar anyways and prayed for the drivers.
We stepped back into the cold air, and hurried toward the car. Just I got to the vehicle; I was stopped in my tracks by an elderly woman. She got out of her car that was parked next to mine and she literally stopped me and asked, “What are you doing here?” I explained that I am a chaplain and I hold services at that particular truck stop.
She continued by asking if anyone had come to the meeting and I replied that not a soul had shown up. She had a hold of my arm and was not about to let go. I wondered what she wanted and pondered the direction of her interview. Yet, there was such warmth and love in her eyes. It seemed that she was indeed on a mission and I felt compelled to listen to whatever she had to say.
Tears rolled down her withered cheek as she carefully unfolded her purpose for cutting off the blood circulation in my arm. She said that she was driving down the freeway and was prompted in The Spirit to go to the truck stop. She pulled into the truck stop and parked next to my vehicle. She then relayed to me that The Spirit told her to wait. She did not know what she was waiting for but she waited just the same. She waited for over an hour in the stillness of the cold December morning. She said that as soon as she saw me, she instantly knew why she was sitting in her car at a secluded truck stop for a seemingly eternal amount of time. She was sent with a message of hope for a chaplain that was in deep despair. She was sent as an answer to an earnest prayer for direction.
I leaned my guitar against the car and listened carefully as she explained, “God told me to tell you that you matter and this ministry matters.”
