Dreaming
I spent my life dreaming
Dreaming, day and night
Making it seem much better
Turning darkness into light
I dreamed that I was grown up,
And was happy as could be
I would have my chosen job,
Many places go to see
And, I promised, to myself,
To make it all come true
Then I would see a world,
That has a different view
'Can dreams become reality’?
I would ask
To seek the truth
Frightened of the answer
'Only the future will be proof'
But on the way, my dreams
Gave hope, - when time was dire
Kept me battling on and on
In that way I didn't expire
When pain has finally ended,
And the sun shines bright for me
I shall smile once again,
And be what I should be
