On the low waves, the boats like corks
Bob up and down on their anchors.
We need a cup of tea after Jen’s wade,
I had burnt my head, sat in the shade.
We stop and sit, sit and watch the world
Nothing like people, especially the old,
Looking after each other, as best they can,
Seemingly enjoying the rest of life’s plan.
