Bo Jon "Little horse of the Big Valley, Littlehorse for short is a vibrant detective, a chieftain's son, a former Marine and Green Beret and holding a graduate degree in economics.  Devoted, skilled and powerful, residing on the Nevada frontier in modern day.  He works on his range the Secato S, were he takes on new cases from murder to missing persons to heist.  A  very competent investigator. 

  And in his sequel, he is determined to catch a mass-murderer before he is turned over to his subordinate in Federal court were he is likely to be crucified for all he is worth.  A former Navy Leutenant, an DFS attache and now elite-fire-fighting brigade coordinator whose has delayed TSD.  Only Bo and perhaps his younger brother whom Bo meets one day in Colorado can save him.
