Shortly after her grandmother’s passing, Sirabelle is notified that she is the beneficiary of her family’s rambling old house. There’s just one catch--it’s located in the sleepy little town of Tulip, Georgia. She decides that a trip to her family’s hometown is just the distraction she needs. Sirabelle takes a leave of absence from her hectic job and packs her bags. Soon after she arrives, she begins receiving unusual and cryptic messages from beyond. She finds she must discover the answers to a myriad of questions. Who is reaching out to her from beyond the grave? Why do they need her help, and what is the mystery surrounding the town’s old historical church? In Tulip, all is not what it seems and “don’t ask, don’t tell” appears to be the rule of order. But that won’t suffice for Sirabelle. She vows to get honest answers and figure out how she and her family are involved. When she unravels the evil and horrible truth, she and the town of Tulip will never be the same again.

Later that evening while taking a bath, Grandma Me’Lee arrived in the shadow of the candlelight.
“Where have you been? I need to talk to you.” Sira exclaimed at her grandmother’s spirit.
“No talk chile. Shhh.”
Grandma Me’Lee placed her finger over her lips. Then she turned and waved her hands in the air. A tremendous fire brewed behind her. Sirabelle could smell the smoke as if it were real. She began choking. Her gifts were getting stronger and she knew it.
“Me’Lee, I can’t breathe,” she said trying to regain her breath. “What is it? Why are acting like this tonight?” She continually fanned the ghostlike flames around her.
“Help, you need help to put out the fire…” Grandma Me’Lee said. Suddenly, the fire died down.
“Grandma, who’s T? I found letters. Who’s your goddaughter?”
Grandma Me’Lee looked right through her with wide disturbed eyes. Then she relaxed her gaze a little. “Find out yerself. I can’t say. But get help. It’s starting…put out the fire…put out the fire…put out the fire…” she dissipated into thin air.
Sira’s body became limp in the bathtub for a minute. Her hair was completely wet as if she went swimming. She fell into a stupor for about an hour and then awoke in freezing bath water.
The fortunate inherit riches, prestige, positive notoriety. Those not so lucky bear legacies filled with poverty, infamy or, worse yet, the unhinged insanity and murderous urges of their ancestors.
