The challenge is to find fifty (50) devotionals that speak to whatever your need for the day may be (e.g., relationship with God, change, illness, etc). In total, the author provides the reader eighty (80) devotionals to choose from.

If we are carrying something in our hand then we have to let that item go if we expect to pick up and carry something else. Ms. Dalton-Smith has given us a devotional that is designed to put down the hurt and pick up God’s healing for that hurt. Ms. Dalton-Smith has grouped her devotional into eight sections: Relationship With God, Relationship With Others, Negative Emotions, Identity, Change, Illness, Emotions, and Gratitude. We all get hurt in one of those categories this devotional is designed to help us allow God to heal our wounds. At the end of each chapter there are Going Deeper Questions and then a Simple Prayer. I believe this book is a resource that will be used over and over again. I also think it is a great gift to give to friends and family who might be hurting as well. I recommend this book highly.
