Probably one of the greatest tragedies of the enigma that is ‘human kind’ is the self-made illusion of races. The deviant idea of “you are different” has destroyed more people than probably all of the weapon fare, gunfire, and bombs exploded throughout the centuries.
If you haven’t already noticed in the scripture text from the last chapter, there is no mention of the color or race in God’s creations.
There is no part in script where God lists “…this day have I created thee, a Black man.” Or that Man interjects, “…and Adam spoke and called the White Woman Eve, because she was the mother of all Honkies.”
That may be rather humorous… but the truth is from the beginning, Man had certain ‘attributes’ that were placed in him by God.
Those attributes came out of the dust of the ground, and we are all formed from the same. They did not come later or suddenly appear like magic throughout the ages. These attributes were not hailed by either God or Man as a specific race, color, or ethnicity. Man did not regard himself as Colored, Negro, Yellow, Redman, Vanilla, or any other terrible racial misnomer.
He was simply “Man” or “Adam” and his wife “Woman” or “Eve.” I believe that Adam’s children could have looked like modern-day Asian, just as much as they could have been today’s version of Black or White.
These attributes existed from Man’s creation and were passed down from generation to generation. Only until one day, Man with his selfishness and wicked deviance looked upon his brother and said “You look different than I do…therefore you MUST BE different than I am.” Again, this was not so in the beginning.
From that horrible moment on, Man has separated himself from those he deems as ‘different’ and has tried to justify his actions ever since. This separation that has carried many different shapes and forms throughout the ages, and I must greatly expound, is not based upon a single ounce of truth.
Race, like many bad ideas in this world; is a gross lie. It too is based upon selfishness and the exaltation of social, economic, or class position for the benefit of self.
