The Goddess of Compassion Kuan Yin is held in high regard by Taoists and Buddhists alike, two groups that account for over seventy percent of the Chinese population; even those outside of Taoism and Buddhism have a special affinity with Kuan Yin, as is witnessed in the many accounts of Kuan Yin-related miracles recorded in Chinese folk literature and oral folklore. As a result, Kuan Yin oracle books are found in temples throughout China, with some twenty to thirty different versions currently in circulation. In this volume, renowned author Marina Lighthouse has collected and annotated many precious Kuan Yin traditions and divination methods, presenting the painstakingly gathered information in greatest detail, providing a most authoritative interpretation.
Especially precious is the Kuan Yin Body-Extending Bone-Contracting Meditation contained in this volume (see Note 1), which, for the purpose of divination, is probably more potent than the Heart Sutra Meditation itself.
