When people hurt us by speaking hurtful words, we may retaliate by saying a hurtful word or two. It is common in most of us. Hurtful people hurt people. I remember a time when I was hurting very much because I listen to the words of an individual which was not pleasant, I kept it bottled up inside of me. I did not want to talk to that person because I was hurting very much, but I remembered that at times I was an example of retaliating and hurting others with my words as well, because we did not agree with what each other had to say. It did not solve the problem. We need to speak kind words to each other. We ought to think before we speak. For many of us that does not happen, depending on the situation. I've learned to listen before I speak. I've learned to voice my opinion in a more calmer way. I've learned that we all have our own opinions. We need to respect each other. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether it is right or wrong. We need to listen to each other. Call on God for help. My help comes from God who made Heaven and Earth. He would give you a calm spirit of kind words, so when you see that you are going to get upset with someone, remember that calm spirit inside of you. Call on the Name of Jesus.
