Donna Dollher now lives a comfortable life, free from the confines of her abusive ex-husband, and now in the arms of a loving husband with a big heart. Her daughter, Daisy, barely remembers her father, but memories of his drunken fits have scarred her psychologically. She finds comfort in Jackson, her boyfriend, whom she met while they were both addicted to drugs. They have since cleaned up and have devoted their lives to each other and their future. And then there's Jet-Donna's only son and Daisy's brother-a depressed young boy who has given up on ever having a happy family.
