Walking Shoes
This was such a fun book to read! I absolutely loved this book. I was laughing out loud while falling in love with each of the zany characters. This book was an amazing start to a series that will no doubt be a favorite of mine. If you need a book to help take the cares away and your mind off of your troubles, then this book is for you.

Shoes to Fill
Just when you think you know how a story line will go, there is a plot twist, forgiveness granted, mercy shown, grace given, and the characters are off in a brand new direction! We are brought back to the tiny west Texas town of Mt. Hope during the Christmas holiday and taken through the struggles of the pastor's family and the Community Church after the death of their pastor as seen through the son, David's perspective, in this second book of this series. Although the "show must go on" as the Christmas Eve service is being planned, there are plenty of wrinkles as the Harper family is still dealing with grief and uncertainty. Power struggles are still being played out while some are still just trying to minister the way the Lord, and those who have faithfully gone before, would serve. As in the first book, I love how the characters are genuinely portrayed with real, sometimes heart-wrenching choices that have consequences. Chapter 24 is laugh-out-loud, belly laugh funny! I also love that some questions were answered, but I can't wait for book 3 to learn more about Momma and Maddies' futures!

Dancing Shoes
I stayed up late finishing this book, as I have the previous ones in the series! Gentry's characters could walk right off the page and sit down across the table from you.
While navigating through grief into possibilities of loving again, our heroine, Leona, gains a greater sense of who she is. With me cheering her on, of course!
