Daryl turned the radio on to the all jazz station and began to take off his jacket and tie. I slipped my shoes off and watched as he poured us a glass of the chilling Champagne. He brought me the glass and we toasted. Daryl stood up and took my flute and put it on the table next to his. He pulled me to him and began to slow dance with me. This felt so right to me. And even if it wasn't, I could make him my steady standby. It was a hell of a lot better than using my no-face silver bullet or my purple rabbit with the pearls. We danced and he held me close. I was captivated by his scent again, This time he rubbed my back and moved his hands down to my onion. As he began to rub me he pulled me closer to him. He kissed me on my neck then made his way to my lips.

Yes, If you love a character driven book, you'll like this story as much as I did. Byers' fictional characters are so realistic you'll soon forget that they are not some folks you actually know. Her dialouge is down to earth, funny, and true to her characters. The story is a compelling page turner complete with romance, nut cases, sex, and surprises. I hope Byers will give us a sequel (or more) surrounding this group of friends. These characters have a lot more stories to tell.

This is a great book! When reading a novel, i look for the author to grab my attention at the beginning and keep it til the end. This is that book! This author is truely gifted. It took me 2 days to read. It is a page turner. She writes very detailed, making u feel like you are watching a movie. I didnt want it to end. I have found a new author to read from. I promise you it is worth your money and time. I am recommending this to all! I know you will enjoy it just as much as i did. NO DOUBT!!!
