“People, I’ve not only found Rose, but Rose’s little goat. They’re lying here together.” Brian wiped the sweat off his face with a handkerchief.
“That was nice of the bastard.” I heard Jonathan say.
“Yes, very considerate to bury them together,” Roy responded. “This will actually make Mom feel better. Rose had the baby goat with her . . . she wasn’t alone.”
Jeff Martin, his friend, Hawk, and his dachshund dog are captured by Osage Indians. Eventually they escape and find their way home. Due to his unusual shape Adolphus is called a Spirit Dog.
