Ray Caldwell is sent to the Caribbean island of St Lucia by the secret government department known as Sector Three, to take on a new mission that is about to break. Shortly after his arrival a violent attempt is made on his life, and he goes into hiding. Munro, his London Control, commits suicide after his family is murdered.
Sector agent Robert Lane reluctantly flies out to find Caldwell, but anyone who might have information is quickly eliminated.
When the opposition turns its attention to Lane, he discovers that a shadowy figure called 'Seraphim' is intent on destroying him and Caldwell for reasons as yet unknown.
Lane gets dangerously close, and bullets start flying .

Barawi and Ursula were locked in each other’s gaze. This wouldn't change, until they were removed by the police or an undertaker. They had been positioned so carefully, so naturally, that they could have been borrowed from Tussaud’s. Each body had been shot with precision, the exact centre of the forehead, and from past experience I knew why - the killer saw himself not only as an executioner, but as an artist. Their empty eyes showed no realisation that their last moments had come. There hadn’t been time, even to scream.
