Baby Madison is born without complication on Christmas Day 2009.  Two days later, she is fighting for her life, as she is intubated and seen in four different hospitals.  Doctors eventually diagnose Madison with a rare condition called CPS deficiency, and they struggle to find a treatment to keep Madison stable.  The only known cure for CPS deficiency is a liver transplant.  Instability in Madison's condition leads the family to make some difficult and sometimes devastating decisions.
