My worst fear. Please help me. I can see my dorm. There is my window on the top floor. The light from the Tiffany lamp looks so welcoming. Safety is only a short time away. Even though the weather is cool on this beautiful fall evening, I am covered in perspiration. No, I can hear the horrible things that they are saying. Their threats are terrifying! Who are these animals? Why did I go out right before a major exam? I know better than this, especially in my senior year. Before I left the safety of the dorm, I promised myself that I would only drink one beer. Instead, I had two, which I drank quickly. I had been in a hurry to return to my dorm. Did I have a premonition that something bad would happen? Now, three men chasing me; what they are saying is terrifying. I can’t maintain this speed much longer. My lungs feel as if they will explode! God, PLEASE HELP ME! The three men had been watching me at Robert’s Halloween party. Most of his guests had on costumes, but I had not taken the time from studying to dress in costume. If only I had stayed in my dorm, this would not be happening. At the party, one of the three had seemed so familiar. His eyes, I was certain that I knew him. His face was covered by a black mask, but his eyes were not. Suddenly, the man in the very back of the group is gaining on everyone. He runs as if he were a track star. He is laughing and saying horrible things. Just as I start to stumble, he grabs me. His breath is foul with cigarettes and stale beer. His body odor is so strong with perspiration. I wish that I could die right now and not have to endure this any longer. I know what is coming; without a word, he is on top of me. This must be every woman’s worst fear. He is so much stronger than me. I don’t have a chance. Groping and slobbering in my face, he is horribly rough. His coarseness is repulsive. Suddenly he raises himself off of me. Nothing has happened. He may think that it did, but I have suffered no harm. He is so intoxicated that he doesn’t know what he is doing. The second man is suddenly on me but the same scenario occurs. He is impotent due to the liquor and probable drugs. They are sneering as if they have done something horrible, but they haven’t. Just like the first attacker, he rises and the two give a high five over me as they push the third man on me. He also smells as if he hasn’t bathed in days. The breath is so foul that I fear I may throw up. He rolls on me and pushes himself against me. He is also unable to perform. They are so pathetic to put themselves in such condition. His eyes, this is the one who seemed so familiar. Without warning, he utters my name. Horror worse than anything I have suffered this night feeds my soul. I have disbelief that something so despicable could occur; this is beyond the ravages of rape. His actions are unnatural and evil. I am able to remove my arms from under him. He must think that he is raping me, but he is unable. I free my right arm and grab his mask. Quickly, I rip it over his head. Our eyes meet and for a brief moment, we look at each other in disbelief. He looks as shocked as I feel. My suspected horrors are confirmed. The others are laughing so loudly. The man arises, and the three look down at me as if I am the animal. The only thing that I feel is a desire to die. How can I continue my life? Now in a fetal position, I just lie without movement. Just leave! I am shouting at them in my mind. The third man, who has reapplied his mask, speaks in a loud voice, “See, I delivered. Where are the drugs that you promised in payment? You got what you wanted even if it wasn’t very good.” They are laughing but start to walk away. “Follow us. We will give you what we promised, Lars. Good job. What other ladies can you provide?” They turn to look at me one final time as they walk away in their perpetual haze. Slowly, I rise as I realize that I am in no way harmed physically; I am completely clothed. The horror of what has transpired will never leave me. He has always hated me. I had no idea how much until now.

About The Book:
Will He? Was the Lombardi family really cursed? Most everyone in the small village of Frascati, Italy, believed it. When Laura visited her home in the beautiful village only minutes away from Rome, her life changed from the protected little rich girl in Newport, Rhode Island. While learning to adjust to a new life, she also learned to respect the father whom she never understood. Frascati also relinquished secrets of her family going back to generations of the famous and infamous male artists. Italy not only charmed Laura but, while there, she learned the real meaning of family and love. Evil was also lurking for her. Much history of the region is discussed as are the restaurants and shopping available in the Eternal City. You will fall in love with the Italian way of life, but agree that home is really where the heart is. The ending will surprise and thrill you. Truly, you will regret to see Will He? end.
What I Thought:
The book begins with the story of Lawrence and Laura Lombardi and how they lived a life of privilege basically being raised by the staff. We are immediately taken to the summer that these two , children of Cal and Mi Mi found out that their parents died in a plane crash and that their bodies were unable to be recovered. The main thing that I found that bothered me about the main character and her brother is that their relationship should of been one of closeness but it wasn't. The main character is sent to live with her aunt Sophia in Italy of all places. And this is where things start to take even more tragic turn.

Follow the Lombardi family,especially,Laura on a journey of secrets,family and love. Fast paced but filled with tragic events. While,Laura tries to adjust to a new life,she learns to respect her family,and that evil lurks nears by."Will He?" is filled with generations of secrets and some that villagers believe the family is cursed. A delightful story which will transport you to the sites and smells of Italy. Well written with engaging characters and an intriguing plot. This author is an author to watch for in the future. You will not be disappointed in "Will He?". Received for an honest review from the author.RATING: 4.5
