"So I don't know what the future holds. But I'm ready either way. I feel that I have had a life that has been good for and to me. When my time comes to leave this Earth, I will regret leaving my children and grandchildren, but I know that my life has been lived to the fullest extent. What more can you ask for?" (SC, 2007)
There is no one else in the world who has left such a positive impact on me. Come rain or come shine, I have thought of my Mother every day and night. She taught me many valuable lessons, including the love of writing. I dedicate these selected poems to her loving memory.

One Year Ago
It really does seem impossible to believe
That just a year ago today,
I took Mom to the Cardiologist
To see if her Pacemaker was working OK.
The doctor put his hands on his hips.
Mom looked over as if to say, "Oh no!"
Then he grinned like a Cheshire cat, saying, "Mrs C, you have 5 or 10 years to go!"
