Steven Kopfklopper retires to Puerto Vallarta hoping to run away from the corruption that he sees in America and its failing American Dream. He hopes to enjoy the sun and write a book. His wife, a successful artist, is selling the last of her water colors and is imminent to join him. No sooner does he land and on the way to his condo and he is enveloped in foreign intrigue and adventure. Foreign governments as well as the US government have other plans for him. The surrounding circumstances test his strength and resolve and provide for a very entertaining trek through the world we live in. Every target in our modern world worthy of being spoofed is systematically hit. The satire if not direct is often between the lines. Though the book is a fast, fun  read, many readers have have reported they needed to re-read it because it doesn't all sink in the firt time. Alan Beck
