Twelve years and she didn’t look a day older. The hair was stylishly short and reddish with blond streaks now, but otherwise the emerald green eyes were exactly the same and she was still as stunning as the long-haired, long-legged brunette I had walked away from all those years ago. And her superstructure was still spectacular, especially as displayed by current celebratory cleavage styles. I don’t know if my heart skipped the proverbial beat when she came through the door of my favorite Starbucks as I was leaving with two lattes and a chocolate chip cookie, but I do know she was the only woman other than Kayman I ever thought I really loved, and the sight of her stopped me cold.

Fast, fun, Zip along Tale
This is my second Richard Bach novel. I very much enjoyed the first one, "Common Enemy" but this one, "Common Ground" blows the first out of the water! Exceptionally well written and very fast paced with a LOT of twists, turns and curves. It is nice to already be involved with the main characters after having read the first one that introduces them to the reader. It is always nice to find a book that calls you back to pick it up and continue read it. This one is just such a book. I see now that I will have to get the third one as I like his characters so much. I usually don't write about the plots as so many people will have done so already. I just try to tell you why the book caught me up. Great plot, great flow of words and lots of in depth characters is why I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good "who done it". I, myself, am on my way to pick up the third one, "Common Place" and see what Raam and his beautiful, funny wife are up to next!
Raam and Kayman Together Again
Raam Commoner and Kayman Karl are married now. It's six months since the events of COMMON ENEMY. Raam has left the law profession and is working toward being a P.I. But the agency is being sold to a sleazy operator named Coopersmith for a huge sum. And Uncle Wally wants to sell so that he can devote more time to his new lady friend.
In short order, K & K's files are being searched by Coopersmith's people, Raam and Kayman are being followed by the same, and attempts are being made on their lives. Coopersmith is looking for something and they just don't know what.
Throw in the FBI, in the form of Kayman's old college roommate, with warnings to back off, Kayman's godfather Police Captain Barney McNabb joining in the pressure, the couple are working on the sly to find out what's going on.
And of course there's an old enemey thought dead knocking off people that annoy Kayman, then sends a text message "You're welcome" after each, throwing suspicion on Kayman.
Author Richard David Bach keeps the plot moving in this second book in the Common denominator series. look forward to the next.
