A story inspired by the author's observation of her mother and aunt's relationship. The name of her book is a direct translation from "Wul Nyu" which is Korean for "Moon Girl".

The illustrations in this book are soothing to the eyes and soul. It's the perfect book to read with your child at bedtime and teaches a valuable lesson about what jealousy can do and its consequences.
There is also a lesson in forgiveness and remaining loyal to your friends and family in the relationship between Sun Girl and Moon Girl. This is a lovely story and a MUST read!

About the story:
The story of a young girl who doesn't understand just how much she is needed. Moon Girl is a relate-able character who we have all been at one point in time. If you have ever questioned your purpose then you should read this book and it will remind you that we ALL have a purpose. And I think teaching children this (that we all have a purpose) is probably one of the most valuable lessons you could possibly teach a child. Moon girl takes responsibility in the end. She is a memorable character that children will love for ages.

This is an adorable, sweet story about Moon Girl, who is feeling a bit like she is living in Sun Girl's shadow, literally and figuratively, and goes off in search of greener pastures. It is a wonderful tale that at its heart teaches children that everyone is important and has a special place in the world, even if they don't realize it. The illustrations are lovely, either drawn by a child or someone deftly emulating one. My daughter and I loved it and intend to buy a copy for my niece as well. Five stars!
