Recipe for a thriller: Begin with someone who's more than a lonely man searching for lost love. Add a league of killers, include drug dealers, a scam artist seeking revenge, a dash of organized crime, and then blend in a band of terrorists. Sprinkle with revenge and lust. Season mixture from a coal mine in Wisconsin, insert Chicago and a dash of the Ozarks. Stir in gambling, a street gang, a red Dodge Viper, an inept terrorist, a southern gal looking for a way out of a small town. Combine with a Hematologist, a baby girl, and her boyfriend federal cop. Shake over two Rottweilers, add in a lust for survival. add one Monique and a syndicate meet slaughterhouse.Let mixture ferment with research for a cure for leukemia and AIDS. Thriller is best served cold, at night when you're alone.
The Viator saga continues as a lonely man is reunited with his lost love. A thriller that moves with the speed of lust and need. From across the ages she comes to his aid in his time of need, and she is repaid in kind. From the intrigues of Paris to the streets of Chicago and into the forests of the Ozarks. The adventure and action flows in chorus but on diverse planes: international terrorism, intrigue, love, hate and revenge, gang warfare, scientific research, gambling, and above all a search for understanding and the need for moral ethics on a personal level.
Excerpt
They were less than 10 feet apart, and most of the gang leader’s bullets missed.
But not all. One bullet passed completely through Viator's left shoulder just below the collarbone.
Monique was a flicker of death as she made a rolling dive to the left, and then spun up kicking the gun away. She drove the heel of her right hand into his forehead. His head snapped back with a satisfying crack. She turned and looked at Viator, there was fire in her eyes and her fangs were fully extended. She snarled, "This one is mine!"
Viator watched her as she crouched over her prey and sank her fangs deep. He knew the beast was free. A short while later Monique turned from the body on the floor. A trickle of the blood ran down the corners of her mouth and her eyes glinting death. She hovered above the body like a deadly jungle cat. But he knew she was much more dangerous than any jungle cat that had ever drawn a breath. She was frighteningly beautiful, and she was his. He inhaled the sweet metallic scent of blood as his fangs extended. He was drawn to his love and his need. She lifted her head slightly and her nostrils flared. Then with an almost imperceptible nod, she motioned him forward, to share in her kill.
