Through the years many of my relationships haven’t reflected an image of anything close to perfection. Likewise, we also aid in the make-up of who OTHERS may become while we impact and contribute to their foundation, shaping their design as our lives intersect on the way to our completion. As I approached his first book, I found it to be an enjoyable and inspiring read. The book held a few surprises for me. I was not expecting those wonderful poetic turns of phrase:

"...as we take in and breathe out the elements that form the atmosphere of relationship."

"...humility has a wingspan with far reaching power and distance when compared to the limited stretch of prideful self-assurance."

The other surprise, for me, was John's vulnerability regarding his pain-filled relationship with his father. Yet that admission is likely to be a help and encouragement to others who have stories of lingering pain and brokenness. For John's real story is his faith in the God who works in and through all of that to redeem it, to bring healing and hope to John, and through him to others, by the song and the story he shares.

He has insights to share regarding parenting in particular. I think I'll be a more reflective and patient parent for having read John's story and getting to see into his life.

I am grateful to John for his courage and humility. I am grateful for this book, which will reach people in need of a word of hope. If that is you, take and read. If it is someone near you, then gift it to them.

The message of his book "of Life, Love and Family" is not only important, it is essential in order to transcend the deception of shallow, temporary and often disappointing goals.

By giving concrete examples and gentle suggestions in flourishes of poetic prose, he encourages us to continue on (or in some cases begin) a journey of restoring our most important relationships in life.

Enjoying a long marriage and raising creative, independent children, John speaks about what he knows and walks the talk. Mr. Wilson's writing helps lay the groundwork for future generations to expand on.

John Tracy Wilson is truly an encouraging factor when it comes to family and relationship. We will see the woes and foes that we've created into our families, something so important as Family, forgiveness and saying I'm sorry is certainly pushed under the rug. John Tracy Wilson makes it plan it starts with a simple acclimation and letting your family know that they've done a great job, and that you are proud of them! Not stripping our children of their God given purpose which were intended for their personal lives. Upon reading John Tracy Wilson book, I am reminded that our creator did not make a mistake as it relate to Family!

Here is a quote from John Tracy Wilson book as a parent this stood out the most to me "God sends us pictures of failures so will just look to Him" - wow powerful! John is an awesome writer!
