Jack Kennedy's struggle to survive in book two of the series. The cannibals are back, and this time, it's personal. How will our hero survive this time?

Jack Kennedy, his family and friends repelled the maniacal hordes of Los Muertos and survived. But that was just Act One. Now the Orenite messiah has arrived, and they are training and arming for an invasion. The cannibals are coming for Jack, and this time it is personal.

The gangs and cannibals have almost won, and America is a hellish hush of its former self. Our hero will find himself caught in the intrigue of the caliphate court and be led to the Queen of the Orenites. Only raw courage, firepower, and a heatlhy dose of luck can save Jack this time.

In this fast-paced action thriller, Jack will enter the world of the cannibals, fighting against impossible odds each step of the way. He will discover new friends who will fight by his side. But one cannibal will stop at nothing to see him dead, and that will ultimately lead Jack back into the slaughterhouse.

Excerpt

Jack and Alexis spent what was left of Jack’s birthday packing for their temporary exile in Mexico. The transport crawlers were due at their homes early the following morning, and everything had to be ready when they arrived. All the linens were packed, so Jack slept in his sleeping bag on top of the bare mattress. Before closing his eyes, he had called Alexis to wish her a good night and tell her how wonderful things would be in Mexico. Of course, she could see right through Jack’s sugarcoating. Neither really wanted to run away from a fight, but being teenagers, they had little choice but to do what their parents said. Before disconnecting, Jack told her everything would be fine because they would be together.
Sometime later, Jack woke suddenly. All he knew was that someone was holding a gloved hand over his mouth. The man wore all black and had a kind of mask over his face. Jack thought he was still dreaming, but it was not quite a dream. “Don’t speak!” the masked man warned. “Make a sound and I’ll slit your parents’ throats, got it?” The strange voice had a distinct accent that Jack had never heard before, or had he? Within seconds, he found himself carried outside and loaded into the back of a truck. His mouth had been gagged and his head covered so he could not see what was happening or where he was being taken. He felt a sharp pain in his arm, and suddenly he was separate from his body and the dream resumed. In his dream, he saw his friend Crazy Tom rescuing a woman and her children from a hidden prison and leading them to safety. Now, Tom was with Steve Caster and Scott Naughton, and they were driving out of a massive slum with the woman and her children. What a strange dream, he thought. Then his mind was a blank.

Reviews for "2122: The Perilous Fight"

Reviewed by Ronald Hull 4/24/2018
This excerpt is not as informative or exciting as the one for the previous novel in this series. But I understand that a couple of chapters can be obtained by locating the Kindle version and taking a look inside at Amazon.

I'm not fond of Amazon for their monopolizing everything, so perhaps a couple of chapters here and another outlet for your sales might be attractive to people like me.
