Excerpt
“Sometimes, we tranquilize him to clean that room and try to groom his coat of hair. I have Arthur to do that when we get to the house. It is his feeding time anyhow, and he put the dope in the meat to feed him. Then you can try the magic with him when he be knocked out.”
“The temper in it or him is almost like he has the rabies virus or something like it. It looks so much like that old black-and-white movie with the werewolf.”
Mr. Hightower laughed at Michael and said, “That thing is not any werewolf, that be a bunch of nonsense anyhow. This is reality right here now. I never thought for the life in me, that someone could bring an evil like this on another.”
We had to wait for a few hours until after Arthur had fed the beast and to make sure it was sedated enough for me to get near it. Once we returned to the thing’s cell, Arthur poked at it with a long board to make sure it was unconscious while Mr. Hightower held a steady hand on the 357-magnum pistol he might eventually use on his boy if I failed in my attempt to save him.
Mrs. Hightower was standing in the back of Michael watching to see if I could possibly help her son. I was frightful of walking near this beast lying on the concrete floor not sure whether it would wake up and rip me to pieces. The closer I moved the more fear I had of it. It was a huge difference from the boy in Rome that I healed from his affliction.
Finally close enough to kneel down next to it, I could hear the rumbled breathing it made like that of a cat when it is sleeping but this was much louder and deeper. This thing’s hand was like a human hand with fingers but had claws on the tips, and it had fangs in its mouth. The hair was long and matted up on it, and it had pointed ears like an animal.
It was neither an animal nor a man but something only the devil or that of the devil could design. The smell was horrific and I gagged from choking, as I was so close to it. Michael yelled asking me if I was okay, but I ignored him to concentrate on helping this tormented soul lying on the floor.
I placed my hands on its body and closed my eyes thinking of the light, and it appeared in my mind. I spoke a prayer in my mind saying to my inner thoughts, ‘Master of all life and creation, help give me the power to heal this faithful servant of his affliction and set him free from this tormented existence he is now in!’
The great power from the light calmed me inside as the warm energy flowed through me into the body of whatever this was lying before me. I heard those behind me gasp and speak about the yellow gold colors surrounding this thing on the floor and me as well.
It felt like electricity surrounding it and myself as the healing process was taking place. As the light started fading away from my mind, I opened my eyes to see the hair falling off this thing lying on the floor, and I rubbed my fingers on its arm only to grab some of it's fur off its arm. The ears returned to human form, and its hand returned to a normal man’s hand.
I stood to my feet. My legs spread apart looking down at what was a creature just a minute ago but now reverting back to the original form of their son. Turning to look at them, they all stared at me. Mrs. Hightower said, “This is a miracle from God!”
“Look at that woman’s eyes!” Arthur replied with amazement.
“She has the light of all lights, the power from above, Praise God almighty!” she exclaimed.
