Although many tips can work to a server’s or bartender’s advantage, none of the mainstream tricks are as lucrative as the insider techniques listed in this scam journal.
So let’s get started. But first some words and phrases you should know.
THE GLOSSARY
Window Licker—A manager or owner of the bar. They can also be referred to as “the enemy” or “deer in headlights.” The Window Licker is the type of manager that is looking to bang the entire cocktail staff including your girlfriend. They’re mad that you make more than they do, and don’t treat you with a whole lot of respect. There are others that are intelligent and level headed. They do their jobs well, and treat their staff with respect. Legend has it they actually do exist. But, for now, I’ve nicknamed this type “a figment of my imagination.”
The Shyster—The bartender, or group of bartenders, pulling a scam. The scammer can also be referred to as the rat, the weasel, the con artist, the trickster, flimflam man, the swindler, the hustler, or the con man.
Asshole—A guest of the bar that drank enough to paralyze a walrus. They become socially confused and lash out. Although their offensive actions are directed at the bartender, the truth is they’re not actually mad at them, they’re mad at their dad (for being their role model on how to drink in excess).
A typical Asshole is a member of the general public who doesn’t understand why they have to pay for the drinks they order. They’ve knocked back enough booze to rewrite the scientific parameters for blood alcohol levels—but when their bill is presented to them, they become puzzled as if all they had was coffee and bread sticks, and don’t understand why their tab is so high. They show this disappointment in their tip. Fortunately, the bartender didn’t drink enough to go to Never Never Land like the Asshole, and they remember their face for next time.

Couldn't believe the wide range of ways that bartenders are able to exploit their customers and employers. Bartender humor ties the book together, and I laughed my way through even though I was mostly reading for information. 5 stars.

I can honestly say I have never picked up a book and not set it down tell I was done. Took me 5 hours but Im happy I did it!! The book transfers very nice from status quo and number jargon's to hilarious stories of epic Shenanigans that will have you laughing for a long time to come.
