Beyond The Pond
Wonderful story - engaging enough for kids and adults reading to kids. This is an allegory with a spiritual story underlying the plot and characters; an outstanding work by a first time author. Enough mystery and fantasy to engage the reader of all ages; in part,inspired by a Cherokee legend. I loved the animal characters. Although the story starts in the 1950s, it quickly moves to present day and references contemporary things (like curly fries)that kids will relate to. There is a lot of information about nature, animals, and even hydrology subtly woven into the story without making it feel academic. Beyond The Pond
Wonderful - Really gets the imaginations flowing. Olivia and Charlie set out on a mission to save Thalia, which isn't a simple task for two little fish. There's adventure, danger and suspense. This is a great book for children and young adults that incorporates imagination with the creation story and shows how sin has affected nature and still affects natures as well as individuals. It certainly draws you in making you think what will happen next, and if good will overcome evil. I look forward to the second book. Abbie/Goodreads

Beyond The Pond
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are unique and keep you drawn in. The story is well laid out and moves quickly. You don't want to put it down. I will continue to watch for more of her writings. Only occasionally does a story come out that makes me take notice enough to keep an eye on the author. MaryAnn/Goodreads
