Things are not going well at R&P Labs. When the phone rang, Rob’s first instinct was to ignore it. It was after midnight, and he had been jolted awake from a pleasant dream in which he and Holly were getting married in an enormous empty cathedral in a ceremony being conducted, for some reason, by Mitch, riding a skateboard.
But the phone kept ringing and he reached for it resentfully.
“Hello?”
“You’re not gonna believe this, Rob,” said Mitch’s voice.
“Mitch?”
“Yeah.”
“Why are you calling me in the middle of the night?”
“Because I’m keeping Sly from shooting a cop.”
Rob sat upright in bed. “What on earth is going on, Mitch?”
“They’re talking about charging Ellis with first-degree murder.”

R&P Labs Mystery 6
Hurst kicks things off with a bang in the latest addition to the series. Things get pretty intense when the heart of the lab is trashed (the beloved and much needed coffee pot). Oh, and there’s a body, too. The book ends with a slight twist. I can’t wait to see what the gang get up to in the future.
All I can say is TRY ONE. I think you will like the series as much as I do. The author writes well and her characters are people you might want to sit down with and have …well…a cup of coffee comes to mind. I enjoy the relationship the characters have with one another. It is fun to watch them grow.
