The killer is not biased regarding gender or age is kills indiscriminately when people least expect it. No one is safe anywhere and attempts to trap the killer fail miserably until a journalist exposes some key information.
Stopping the killer is crucial, but rather than be caught, the killer has already decided to shift the blame onto someone else--someone they supposedly loved.

"Hey Paul," I'm gonna get me another brew. You want one?" Ted asked his son.
"No, Pop, I've had enough. I still have to drive back across the bridge," Paul laughed.
"No, you don't. You can always spend the night with me. It'll be like the old times, except then you too young to drink," Ted joked. "I'll be right back."
When he stood up, he felt a little wobbly, but he thought it was because he had sat too long, so he stretched his legs and kept going. Before he reached the concession stand, he felt ill and decided to go to the bathroom instead.
Before he opened the door, pain gripped and forced him into a slump as he grabbed his stomach and moaned loudly. People watching him thought he had been drinking too much, until he collapsed with his eyes rolled back into his head.
