An Action Packed Legal Thriller
"Predatory Kill" is the type of novel that mixes together action and suspenseful thrills with engaging drama and emotionally charged characters for a truly entertaining read. Kenneth Eade does a wonderful job of weaving the story together to form a tale that engages your mind and your senses... taking you on a journey of corruption, murder, danger, big business, courtroom drama and the essential human elements that bind the story together in intricate ways. The writing is refreshingly engaging, vivid in imagery, features authentic characters that draw you into their story and a thrilling plot that takes you eagerly all the way to the satisfying end.
What I liked about the novel is that it feels current and all too real, big business and big banks in control and ruthlessly doing everything to make a little bit more money.. so it's exciting to read a legal thriller novel like this that explores the realities of "predatory" businesses like this one. Overall, this was an entertaining and action-packed novel that was well worth the read
Completely Compelling
I was drawn to this book due to the interesting twist the author, Kenneth Eade has put on the legal thriller genre by pitting the main character, Brent marks against an antagonist in the form of a bank. When looking for books to read I am drawn to inventive and original storytelling and this certainly ticked those boxes.
My excitement and interest in the book was proven right as from the moment I picked up the book I was hooked. It’s rare to find yourself thinking about a book after you have finished it but this thought provoking tale had exactly that effect on me.
One of the biggest compliments I can give the author and the book is the masterful way in which the tension rises throughout the book. This ensures that the reader is kept fascinated right to the end. A lot of time and effort has gone into the development of the characters and it shows as they come across as both absorbing and believable.
Overall this book ranks right at the top of my list for 2014. You will struggle to find a better thriller and that is why it deserves my five stars.
Hi-Octane Legal Thriller
I like legal thrillers almost as much as I like westerns and Kenneth Eade has written a real page turner in Predatory Kill. As the story unfolds Eade puts his years of experience as a lawyer to good use in taking the reader through complicated labyrinth of the legal process making you believe that you actually were in court watching the trial unfold. His characters are believable and well written and and his description of the bad guys was riveting. but this book would have benefited with a good editor. I came across a few annoying typos, but I don't judge a book by typos, I judge the book by the merits of the story and this story was a good one. Eade should write a sequel and continue the character of Brent Marks. I liked reading about Marks and the way he handles himself both in and out of court. Eade is what Grissom initially was when he first started writing, and I know that readers will enjoy this legal thriller written by a fresh new writer, Kenneth Eade.
