Stephen Gotlar, a first grade building engineer and security strategist is summoned by government officials to build a wall around a city after an unusual and sinister molecular pandemic originating from somewhere on the Mexican coastline begins spreading its devastation. Time is against him, as Stephen and ten thousand others raise the last outpost of humanity to protect them from a being that stalks. It lives in water and it lurks indefatigably hunting him down.
