Fast Paced Romantic Suspense Novel, I Couldn't Put It Down!
Snyder. It has a well developed plot and characters that jump off the page and seem real. The novel begins with a Jane Doe, found barely alive by a hunter in the Pennsylvania woods. She's stabilized by doctors, but remains in a coma for several weeks.
After a hospital visit from a mysterious stranger, Jane awakens and begins the process of recovery, yet she continues to have no recollection of her life before being attacked, and no family or friends claim her. A romance blossoms between her, and her doctor, and they marry. Not long after, tragedy strikes again, when Jane's new husband is robbed and killed on his way home from work.
Jane keeps herself busy with work, and tries repeatedly to fend off unwanted romantic advances from her late husband's brother. Meanwhile, a new neighbor, Sebastian Alexander, moves into the house next door to Jane. A new romance develops between the two, and as things become more and more serious, Jane's memories begin to come back. But before Jane can be at peace, she and Sebastian need to uncover who tried to kill her, and who killed her husband.
Vampire Next Door is full of twists and turns, romance, and suspense. It also features a horrible villain that you won't see coming. I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book, I was unable to put it down, and finished it in just a couple of days.
A great romance and action book!
I was hooked by the 1st chapter. I've always loved a good mystery and this book sets up a great one (a few actually) early on. This book has everything you need; humor, heartache, action and romance. The love scenes are so well done (not Freehan style, totally JUST hot enough ;) ). The only thing that I didn't like... There's no sequel!!! Looking forward to more books from this talented author.
I Hoped It Would Be Good, It Turned Out To Be Addicting and Exceptional
The story of Jane Doe who has no idea who she is and the tragedy of her life since she awoke after a horrific attack is addicting to say the least.
There is a very limited number of things I can say about this novel without spoiling an exceptional paranormal romantic thriller, the fact that there are many surprises and a couple of things you could see coming make this a great book since I LIKE for books to end like I want them to end (although I am a bit more of a revenge junkie than the author).
All I can say is read the first couple of chapters and if you can put it down, it is not for you. I think most readers will echo the thoughts of several of the readers who could hardly put it down to sleep. This is one of those pleasant surprises that I buy some book and just hope it is "good" and it turns out to be exceptional. 5 Stars and no regrets.
