The “Christian Music Challenge” is a life-changer. When I first started reading it, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Would it be just another lecture about the dangers of music that isn’t Christian? I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, the author is clear that the problem isn’t secular entertainment. The problem is Sin. Before I read about the Challenge, I would often buy songs for my iPod without even a thought about the lyrics. Now, my whole perspective has changed. I consider the source before I buy. I think the Challenge offers a golden opportunity for families to talk about their entertainment choices with each other and the possibility that those choices may not align with their Christian beliefs. There’s so much anti-family drivel in Hollywood, it’s good to know there are options that are just as engaging and entertaining and aren’t counter to my Christian beliefs.
