Strong but flawed heroine...fantastic romance!
The cover catches your attention; the story pulls you in and doesn't let you go. Lorianne is one of the best romance heroines I've read about in a long time. She's strong, yet vulnerable, even though she doesn't like to show her vulnerability. She's dealt with a lot of grief in her past, which has shaped the kind of person she's become. Ashton is a sexy, admirable hero that you can't help but fall in love with. The secondary characters play their parts to perfection. Maybe It's You has touching moments, and Kathy L Wheeler writes with emotion and passion that grips you tight from the first page to the last.


Family secrets erupt in this contemporary romance
In the second of this series, Lorraine, the co-owner of a bookstore, has a three-night stand with handsome womanizer, Ashton, who walks out on her without a word, leaving her livid. Denying his growing attraction to Lorraine, Ash finds himself obsessed, and jealousy ignites when he see Lorraine with an old schoolmate. Lorraine denies her own obsession with Ash but eventually they can't resist each other. However long-held family secrets erupt for both of them, threatening to squash their possible relationship. Lorraine is a strong female character and meets her match in Ashton. Both are in deep denial due to previous emotional issues and their individual family dramas somewhat overshadow the romance which is fairly passionate in some scenes.
