This short book has a lot of helpful Scripture for the busy wife, mother, husband or counselor
This book is valuable for anyone going through a variety of painful issues. Life is not fair and there are no fairy tale romances. But Jaylin Palacio has provided us with a glimpse of her pain an anguish amid her husband's neglect and eventual discovery of an affair.

Busy professionals will find this book helpful as it can be read in one evening. But do not assume this book has little to say. It is packed with dozens of Scripture lessons and valuable lessons on forgiveness, heartache, bitterness, acceptance and patience. The author does not paint a rosy picture of immediate love and forgiveness. She makes some mistakes along the way and honestly shares them.

One big lesson I got from this book is that being alone with God is some of the best medicine for a hurting soul. Another lesson was from the book of Ruth (page 28) where loyalty and faith were illustrated. Jaylin also shares passages from the Psalms on page 20. She realized that the pain of the present is an opportunity for joy in the future.

Towards the end of the book, Jaylin has to make a choice. Any decision she makes will not have an immediate reward. You will have to read about her tough decision and the outcome for her and her children.

In fairness to all who read this, the author did use what I think was an inappropriate word (for a Christian book) on page 14. Many readers may not object...but at least I warned those who chose to purchase this book. I still give this book 5 stars.


great glimpse into the life, fears, feelings, and thoughts of those who have been betrayed by an unfaithful spouse
As someone who has experienced the pain of infidelity, I can certainly identify with Jaylin's feelings and thoughts on this issue. Jaylin offers sound and Biblical advice on forgiveness, the power and importance of prayer, and the need to come to the end of ourselves so we can fully rely on the grace and strength of God. She also challenges those who would stand in judgment of the wayward spouse to see the adulterer as someone who is broken and hurting, and who needs to see the love and forgiveness of Christ. This book is a great glimpse into the life, feelings, fears, and thoughts of individuals who are going through infidelity or have experienced infidelity. It offers hope that God can and does heal our hurts and hearts, and that God can and does heal marriages affected by adultery when forgiveness, love, and compassion are extended.

Power Packed Healing
Unless you have been through an infidelity situation, you cannot possibly imagine the pain and the craziness your life becomes. Jaylin has given us a small, but power packed manual for seeking God in this time of trauma and a blueprint of ways to do it. her ability to forgive and not become bitter is a monumental lesson to us all.
