As Mushy and Little Dove were talking down by the river, he felt like he had known her all of his life. She was so easy to talk to and lovely to look at as well. Mushy knew he was falling in love.
Strolling by the banks, Little Dove noticed something that had washed up on shore. “Look Mushy, that looks like a child!” she screamed! Mushy and Little Dove ran as fast as they could toward the body lying on the shoreline.
As they approached, they saw it was a little boy mouse. Little Dove checked to see if he had a pulse. Mushy told her that he knew CPR, but had never used it on anyone. She told him to try because it didn’t look like he was breathing.
Mushy blew into his mouth while holding his nose and pressed on his chest until the little mouse finally came around. He was coughing up water, but they knew he was alive. Mushy had just saved this little boy's life.
