The author, Ayala Saar, has written another lovely book about animals. In this book we meet Lily the goat and her friends. Lily loved to sing,as did her friends. They thought they had lovely voices and wanted to join a choir. They came across other groups of animals, and they were turned away. However, they kept looking and wondered why they were not allowed to join their choirs. When you read this book, you will understand what happens next. Parents/teachers will like reading this book to their children. The children will all have questions about the animals and their singing. They can discuss why they like to sing. The illustrations by Abir Das, are bright, vivid and colorful, they depict all the adventures of the animals and their singing. The two parts of this book I liked the best were the lessons learned, and the fact that the book was written in rhyme, my favorite way of reading a children's book. This is a fun story that will resonate with children and their adults. Note: this book was provided to read and review.

I loved this book (and my kids all did too) The lessons it teaches to follow your heart and dreams no matter what anyone says is a wonderful concept to teach kids, especially in this world today where if you aren't "normal" or "perfect" you are an outcast. We are all good at something and God made us all perfect and useful. This book is illustrated beautifully and a read that kids will beg for over and over again. My 15 month old loved looking at the pictures, bright and colorful.

The author has written this book for ages 3 - 8 and P - 2. The drawings are well done and will hold the attention of your little ones. I like the fact that the book rhymes which is always an additional bonus.

There are lots of different animals in this one for your children to look at and identify. There are birds, cats, dogs, ponies, toads, ducks and even donkeys.

Lily is a goat and her goal in life is to be able to join a choir. She practices each and every day with the other goats. They come across a bird choir, a cat choir and a band of frogs in the woods. The answer to her question is always NO as the others think the 'voices' of the goats would not blend well. Finally (no spoiler here), there is a group that will accept them.

I really like the fact that Lily and her small group of goats is finally allowed to 'sing' with another group. Acceptance of others is a teaching moment for the person reading this story.

Most highly recommended.
