Billy is a little boy who loves his toys and in particular his trains. He wants somebody to play with. However, how can he make friends if he does not know how to share?
One day, his mother's friend and her little boy Chris came over. Mom and her friend had coffee and talked. Billy took Chris into his room to play, but Billy did not want to share his toys; he gave Chris an old ball to play with.
As the afternoon wore on, Billy did not feel good about what he had done. After Chris and his mother went home, Billy talked to his mother about sharing his toys. A week later the two families meet again and Chris invites Billy to play. Billy sees Chris' terrific train and they both enjoy playing with it. In that gesture Billy and Chris become friends who can share.

Every boy and girl love their toys, and often it is very difficult to share them. Some parents ask their children to pick out particular toys that they do not want to share, and then leave the rest. It is hard to share, you may be so afraid that your special toy may be broken. What would you do?

The author, Ayala Saar, has written an important and fun book for children. It is written in rhyme, and this is my favorite kind of children's book, and I know many children love rhyme. This is a story with a lesson that every child will wrestle with. The illustrations by Kathleen Sue L. Millari, are beautiful, vibrant and colorful, and they depict the adventures of Billy and Chris. Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children may discuss all of their adventures in sharing, and the feelings they have when they do not want to share. The lessons learned are important for everyone. An important book for any child. Note: book provided for review.
The joys of boys and toys when shared!
Billy made me his friend too! He's not the sweetest little boy to begin with; in fact, he's somewhat grumpy and selfish--too many toys. The author knows child psychology and motivation well. She tells a story that is true to a young boy's nature. But she also helps him discover the meaning of making new friends.
The artwork is just right for preschool and early-grade kids, not frenetic but calming. Combined with melodious rhythm and rhymes, the book eases children into a learning state. The author is a natural story-teller and helps develop important growing-up values and skills for families. The book also offers a free downloadable "painting kit" and will help young readers or listeners to enjoy the book even more.

New author of children's books Ayala Saar is a certified personal and business coach. She also has an MBA-specializing in organizational management from Israel's Ono Academic College. Her career since graduation has been spent working in management and in motivating people to fulfill themselves. In recent years she is also volunteers as a lecturer on professional and personal empowerment.
In this very colorful book (illustrated by Kathleen Sue L. Mallari) Ayala introduces us to Billy `a big boy' with a big brother who has his own toys. His mother's friend asks Billy to play with her son Chris but despite Chris' excitement at playing with Billy's toys, Billy refuses to let him, deciding instead that allowing Chris to play with a simple ball is adequate. Chris plays along but gets bored and when his mother says it is time to leave he tells Billy that Billy can visit him, too. Billy is sad because he feel he hurt Chris' feelings. A week later the two families meet again and Chris invites Billy to play. Billy sees Chris' terrific train and they both enjoy playing with it and in that gesture Billy and Chris become friends who can share.
Ayala writes with a charming rhyme that children will love. The illustrations are excellent and the progression of the story is beautifully paced. A very fine lesson in sharing and friendship in this successful book. Grady harp, November 14
