PI Mac Everett has his fists and a Beretta, but this time he needs something more

Former Army interrogator and ex cop turned Private Investigator Mac Everett has the ability to sense the truth in a person’s eyes. When he gets a call from retired General Martin Hunt, who happens to be the wealthiest man in Central Florida, he should have been suspicious. The rich and famous don’t call a washed up drunk vet with PTSD like Mac. 

The General asks Mac to sort out a blackmail scheme, but after only a week abruptly calls him off. When a comely blond sashays into his office asking for help, Mac learns she is the General’s daughter and the great man’s son may have murdered his wife. As he peels back layers deceit, Mac calls on strained friendships, snitches, and sorts out the truth from a growing list of suspects. What follows is a story of mystery and suspense filled with murder, seduction, and deception. Ultimately, Mac must put himself in the line of fire to get to the bottom of a deadly secret.
